Call for Nominations: UNESCO–Russia Mendeleev International Prize in the Basic Sciences 2025

The Pakistan National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the UNESCO–Russia Mendeleev International Prize in the Basic Sciences 2025.

This prestigious prize recognizes outstanding contributions to the development of the basic sciences, including chemistry, physics, mathematics, and biology, which have significantly advanced scientific knowledge and international cooperation in line with UNESCO’s values.

 Award Details:
The prize consists of a monetary award of USD 250,000, a gold medal, and a diploma.

Eligibility:

  • Individuals or groups of individuals (maximum three) whose achievements have contributed to the advancement of basic sciences.

  • Nominations must clearly demonstrate the impact of the contribution on international collaboration, scientific development, and UNESCO’s goals.

?? Submission Requirements:

  • Duly filled nomination form

  • CV of the nominee(s)

  • Detailed justification highlighting the scientific contribution and its global relevance

  • Letters of support (if any)
